If you’re a big fan of RummyCulture, you’re not the only one. RummyCulture is one of India’s trusted rummy apps with over 3.2 crore players. Not only that, but we are also the country’s number-one rummy app* (we aren’t just saying it, we have proof)!

One of the biggest reasons why RummyCulture is so loved is its amazing weekend tournaments. Read on to find out more about them.

Weekend tournaments on RummyCulture

RummyCulture has two flagship weekend tournaments: Saturday Bumper Cash and Sunday Mega Blockbuster. Apart from these two, RummyCulture has many tournaments under the PowerPlay format available to play over the weekend (and also during the week).

Let’s find out why Saturday Bumper Cash and Sunday Mega Blockbuster tournaments are absolute favourites for our players.

They are free!

Both the Saturday Bumper Cash and the Sunday Mega Blockbuster tournaments are free to enter for everyone! A player just needs to register, and RummyCulture notifies them before the tournament starts.

Saturday Bumper Cash happens every Saturday at 4pm.

Sunday Mega Blockbuster happens every Sunday at 3pm.

They are super rewarding

Even though players can enter Saturday Bumper Cash and Sunday Mega Blockbuster tournaments for free, they can still win rewards in the form of Discount Credits (RummyCulture’s in-game currency). Discount Credits (or DC, as we call them) can be used to play any of the real cash games or tournaments on the app with up to a 100% discount on the Buy-In.

That means, if your wallet has 10 DC, you can use it to enter a ₹10 table for absolutely free. The top prizes for both the tournaments are HUGE:

Rank Saturday Bumper Cash  Sunday Mega Blockbuster
1 1 lakh DC 2 lakh DC
2 50,000 DC 75,000 DC
3 25,000 DC 50,001 DC

That’s not all, both these tournaments have guaranteed minimum prizes for all participants. So, regardless of your rank on the leaderboard, you’re still a winner.

Please do note that these prize amounts may change in the future solely at RummyCulture’s discretion.

Exciting multi-round deals format

Both the Saturday Bumper Cash and the Sunday Mega Blockbuster tournaments are based on Deals rummy format. In this format, there is a predefined number of deals that are played in each round. A player’s score at the end of all deals of that round will determine their rank, and subsequently, whether or not they will qualify for the next round.

Deals is a very exciting format of rummy and really tests players’ long-term strategic thinking. With the weekend tournaments being free to enter, players can get hands-on practice in this format and use their skills for real cash tables.

💡Fun fact: The Sunday Mega Blockbuster holds the Guinness Book World Record for hosting the largest online rummy tournament, with a whopping 2.15 lakh unique participants!

Aside from our flagship weekend tournaments, RummyCulture offers a plethora of other tournaments for players looking for something challenging:

PowerPlay

RummyCulture has an array of tournaments in the PowerPlay format.

This format is different from Saturday Bumper Cash and Sunday Mega Blockbuster in terms of gameplay. Instead of rounds, this format has levels and each player gets the same starting stack of points (10,000). As a player keeps winning or losing, their points increase or decrease accordingly. Players qualify or get eliminated based on their points at the end of a level.

PowerPlay format is very rewarding and has a guaranteed prize pool, which means the number of players joining the tournament won’t affect the total prize pool. You can read our PowerPlay blog to learn more about this format and the tournaments under the format. In this blog, we will talk about free tournaments.

Daily Bumper Cash

RummyCulture has a Daily Bumper Cash tournament at 3.30pm on all days of the week. The best part? The Buy-In is zero but players can win real cash! The first prize in this tournament is ₹4,000. Talk about MEGA return on investment.

Signature free PowerPlay

Signature Free PowerPlay tournament is another daily tournament. It happens at 7.30pm and allows late entry (no penalties for it!). Players can join for free and win up to ₹4,000.

₹1 PowerPlay

The name makes it pretty obvious; players can join this daily tournament for just ₹1 at 1pm. This is a very quick tournament with just 2 levels, so this can make for a quick break during your busy day!

RummyCulture has tournaments for everyone; right from free tournaments for new players to tournaments with grand prize pools for the pros. So, what are you playing this weekend?

*India’s no. 1 rummy app disclaimer: The research survey was conducted during October 14-23, 2024 among 1,044 respondents who were real money gamers. Players of Gameskraft’s RummyCulture are spending more than other rummy apps (based on spending within rummy apps as per the survey data).
